Oscar's back home (part II)

Oscar came back home from the Matilda on Saturday, and Mummy was loving being back epecially since I was also on half term and the weather was glorious. Monday and Tuesday afternoon we played down in the garden with Izzy, Alex, Joshua and Mia as Oscar slept soundly in Mummy's arms.
On Tuesday night Oscar felt a bit too warm, and by the morning he was still no better so Daddy and Mummy had to take him back into hospital. Apparently you have to be very careful when newborns have a fever, and he was admitted and given antibiotics and all sorts of tests run. Luckily after a couple of days his temperature returned back to normal but he was kept in to finish his medicine until today (Sunday). It was a pretty scary and worrying time for us, but it was great seeing the little chap on the mend again and bouncing back.
As you can imagine Mummy was throughly bored of hospitals and is now very much relieved and happy to be home with me, Daddy and of course Oscar. Oscar himself is completely back to normal: feeding like a demon and giving Mummy a hard time with his constant feeding! Mummy is still on antibiotics (for mastitis- nice!!) but she and Daddy are planning to crack open a bottle of Krug tonight after I have gone to bed. That will be the second time they get to celebrate coming home, but this time the bubbles will taste even sweeter!
No photos for this posting. Somehow shots of the room on the paediatric ward and Oscar's drip aren't really in keeping with the jolly tone of this blog :-)
